Now I am into the middle of your book and just had to post something here. I was expecting my fury to be at John, but I'm hopping mad at your parents, which I'm sure is something you have dealt with personally. You didn't stand a chance, if it wasn't John, it would have been someone else. You and I are about the same age and although my father was strict, all of us kids were provided for. My mum is a saint, she is my bull dog, however it didn't stop me for straying and living a while the way you did, but I was much older when I did. Watching you holed up in some of those motels in the movie made me shiver thinking about my drug fueled days in LA. Stayed at several of those motels in Hollywood, the Valley and others outside of California. I know a lot of those streets up in the canyons as well as streets south of the Boluvard in Studio City and Sherman Oaks. Even the street names in Glendale you mention in the book are all familiar places. You have done so well for yourself and you should be proud of what you have achieved. I'm sorry to hear Sharon is not in good health, give her a big hug, she is quite a remarkable woman. Will you be doing any book signings or interviews in the UK? I live in London. I've watched it serveral times. I can somewhat relate to the drug aspect part. My father is a recovering drug addict and I can remember seeing things no child should ever see.
