Our pets. Irreplacable, such a source of unconditional love! My Maltese Barkley has seen me through so much over the past 11 years, and the older he gets, the more precious he becomes to me.

On a side note, last Saturday my daughter and me stumbled across a Chihuaua meet and greet held at a local Art Museum here in Denver. We couldn't resist, and peeked in for a few minutes to catch a glimpse of about 25 little adorables running around sniffing, fighting and playing while their owners watched. The smiles just wouldn't stop coming!

Dawn,
I just stumbled across this page and read about Tinkerbell. How is she doing now? I hope she is doing well. I love that picture of her, she reminds of my chihuahua Molly. The chihuahua is my favorite breed they are very loyal and very protective to be so small. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank-you,
Printess

I am so sorry to hear about Tinkerbell. I am a REAL BIG DOG LOVER and I have a German Shepherd and he is definitely my child. I am 35 and have no children but I treat him like he is my child. Last year I found out that he had heartworms (his heartworm prevention medicine did not work) and I paid many bucks for his treatment. Thank goodness, he is heartworm free and doing great!! These animals are worth every penny.

I still enjoy your website and I hope you and your family are doing well!!

Love,
Angie

I know a pet can save your sanity. My cats did that for me. They were the only ones I could talk to for a long time. BTW, Did the pup in the movie belong to Paris?

Poor Tinkerbell!

I know exactly what you mean when you say tiny-large creatures. My four lb chi, Bijou, is the biggest source of love and entertainment in my life. The world would be a much smaller place without her in it.

Yes, Tinkerbell is much better. She is completely healed. This is kind of harsh. Her surgery was to remove three of her canine teeth that had fissures causing infection to her sinuses and then she had a massive infection in her uterus. When it was finally diagnosed, her heart murmur had gotten worse and she had fluid in her lungs. She was unable to walk due to the growing infection in her belly and she had stopped eating for a week. At first the vet didn't know for sure what was wrong cause blood tests were shady, so we treated her heart with new medication and gave her antibiotics to see if that would help. Well her heart and lungs got a bit better, but the infection was bigger than antibiotics could help. Because she had never been fixed the doctor suspected an infected uterus coupled with infected teeth.

On a four pound Chihuahua, it is amazing that she survived. She was nothing but bones and had to be fed baby food with a syringe until she got interested in food again, about three weeks. She never complained, only got very quiet. After the surgery the vet showed me a picture of her uterus she had taken cause she was amazed at the size. It was as big as her fist.

It is a miracle that she is still with us and now doing wonderful. Just a little toothless...or should I say tooth cute!

Take care,
Dawn

I'm so sorry about Tinkerbell. Why did she have surgery? But Tinkerbell pulled through and is back home. :) My prayers are with Tinkerbell.

Since I knew Tinkerbelle as a tiny puppy and because for a few years her brother Jake was my faithful companion, and because I know you so well, I know how much you love her. It is a wonderful photo of her.

What a precious little pup. I know that she is not really a pup, but for some reason all dogs are puppies to me! I hope she is feeling better! It's funny how such a small thing can have such a huge impact on ones life. I know exactly how you feel
