An Amazing Advocate!

Hello all! I have mentioned in an earlier post a new friend, great singer, and amazing advocate for women, Sally Anthony. I’d like to introduce you to her a bit more personally. I am proud to call Sally a friend. She approached me through this site as an honest, down to earth, compassionate woman who had nothing but a strong desire to reach out to a survivor of violence. Her sincerity was real and her heart was in the right place. Her sensitive vision read between the lines of the film Wonderland and recognized the emotional, physical and mental pain the real characters experienced that wasn’t obviously played out on the screen. My respect for her grew as she shared her thoughts for a future with a world of women and men made more aware of the issue of abuse and her passion for helping a battered soul to find courage and strength to overcome the pain. Her dedication to the cause is an inspiration and, by the way, her music is awesome! We need more voices like hers. Sally Anthony, you rock!

I Love Sally Anthony! Thanks so much for saying nice things about an amazing artist and person. I haven’t seen Wonderland, but will be going to rent it immediately. From all of us who are Sally fans, thanks for the nice words.

What an honor to be on your website this way. I was shocked to see myself! I went expecting a picture of you, not me. You are the real inspiration here. You are an amazing woman, mother, friend and advocate. The world is a better and more peaceful place because you are in it. So, thank you…Thank You.

having a mom who lives with an abusive person (not my dad) … makes sally a better mom to me than i could have ever dreamt of having. i am so excited to see that other women are supporting her music and see her goal. i am also happy to see other women get out of abusive relationships and are becoming strong enough to tell their own stories.
thank you for having her on your site and for sharing your story too. it gives me hope that one day my biological mom will get out and also hope that my mommy sally will continue to inspire women and men everywhere.

I have been a fan of Sally and her music for many years. I am very glad that she shared this website with me. Dawn, you seem like an amazing woman and Sally has said very good things to me about you. I will definitely be renting or purchasing Wonderland in the near future. Thank you Dawn, and Thank you Sally for everything that you do for Women around the world!

i should have reworded… sally is not my mom… i just think of her as my mommy/big sister… she rocks and thank you for having her featured on your site… it means a lot to me.
