He used every person that he could for his own benefit. It was his selfish greed that caused you so much pain and led to the robbery and murder of four individuals. His actions were inexcusable no matter if the drugs contributed to them or not.The way he treated you and the people around him was cowardly and disgraceful. You only survived his abuse because you were strong enough but there are a lot of women who wouldn't have made it out alive. Nobody should ever have to go through living in the type of hell that you had to endure at such a young age. I hope your life is good today and I hope it's full of happiness and love for you and your family. In the movie you were portrayed as loving John and did not appear scared. Is that typical behavior of someone being abused. Did you contract HIV from John? Were you fearful of that at anytime in your life. It seems that John manipulated you due to your age and inexperience. How did you realize that you had to escape, or what was the final incident....I think you are a survivor and I am your age and have been thru rocky times also and I admire your courage.
